Saturday Sessions

Well we only have 10 weeks to go until our MAJOR Goal race of the year......
the 28km off road Whitsunday Run!!

So that is the major focus now for 23 of our runners and we will have adding a few more trail runs to our Saturday sessions. 

What else is happening?
In saying that there are HEAPS of running events to chose from over the next 3 months regardless of what your goals are, they are a great way to keep you focused and motivated leading up to the silly season. 

·         Sunday 20th July - Jetty to Jetty, 10km,21km
·         Sunday 27th July - Park to Park Ipswich, 10km, 21km
·         Sunday 3rd August - Brisbane Running Festival, 10km, 21km

·         Sunday 31st August - Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival, 10km, 21km
      Sunday 7th September - Bridge to Brisbane 10km
      Saturday 20th September - Twilight Bay run, 10,21km

    Option 1 - Off Road 
Nerang Trail Running Series  
We have the next in our progressive trail running series at Nerang....12km this weekend

Start time = 6:30am. See you there at 6am for sign-on and warm up!

P>S. we are coming 3rd team overall!!! It would be great to have more BRSers participate to increase our rankings. If we win....we get.........pretty awesome 
  • awarded a perpetual shield (to hold for one year) and replica
  • provided with a hi-res image which will be available for download for every member of the winning team. This group photo will be taken at prizegiving at the last race meet on 6 September, and
  • showcased in a 2 page spread in Womens Running magazine in issue 17 at the end of the series.

Option 2 - Road Run SOUTHBANK
COACH: Renae

This week we will be heading to Southbank for our Saturday Run Road Run.

WhereMeet at Streets Beach, near the Southbank Surf Club Restaurant 

: Park in the Southbank underground carpark for $2! in after 5am out by 9am. Park in the middle near the pay station, and the exit will bring you out near Max Brenners and the stairs!

Time: 6am for a 1.45hr run. 

Remember, you don't HAVE to run the whole time, choose a distance or time and go!! the finish time just means when you need to be back for stretching and refreshments if you want to join us. 

Finish Time: 7:45am
Cost: $2 for refreshments
