Tent
The BRS Tent will be set up for the entire weekend. It will be located in Mitchel Park opposite The Palmerston Hotel. Everyone is welcome to leave their bags etc there while they race. There will always be someone there to watch valuables.
Anyone who has not picked up their race number, they will be located at the tent.
After Party
Starting at 1130am on Sunday 2nd July. All RSVP's are in, so I look forward to having a cheeky beverage and some pizzas in the park while we cheer on the Marathoners.

Saturday Sesssion, Gold Coast after party and Wednesday shoe collection
Saturday Session
Feels like time for the markets to me! so let's head to New Farm Park.
When: Saturday 24th June
Where: Meet at the New Farm Park Rotunda
Time: 6am - 7:30am
What: If you are following the Cooks Lead up program, this week is rest week.....so 15km. Most others will be tapering for Gold Coast, 5km, 10km, 20km!! come along and go for it!
Cost: $2
Followed up at New Farm Jan Power Markets for Coffee and Breaky.
If you entered as part of the Brisbane Run Squad Team for the Gold Coast Marathon Festival, your numbers will be available for collection Wednesday 28th June.
Also, Dan has kindly offered to organise a running shoe donation for shoesforplanetearth.
Please bring along an unwanted CLEAN running shoes with the shoelaces tied together on Wednesday 28th June. Dan will kindly drop them off to the collection centre.
Also, if you are keen, hang around for a drink and or dinner afterwards for a pre GC catch up.

Saturday and Gold Coast Marathon lead up!
Saturday Session
If you are following the BRS Lead up to Cooks Plan - you should be running 25km this Saturday. Then look forward to a rest week with a short 15km run in preparation for the Gold Coast Marathon Festival the following Weekend.
The distances are getting bigger posing problem with time (not enough of it).
So, this weekend there will be an early early start for anyone who wants company for the long run.
Renae will be commencing her run with a few others at 5.05am and should be finished by 7:30am. Those of you wishing to meet at the regular time, they will be looping back to pick you up.

We have heaps of adults and kids participating in the Saturday events at the Gold Coast Festival this year. Come along and support and cheer them on!!

Yes, as always we have many keen beans participating in the longer races on the Sunday of the festival.
and of course, a celebration gathering to follow. This year we will have it in the park around noon. Details to follow, but lock it in!

Saturday, Urban Adventure and Uniform reminder
This Saturday, including Urban Adventure
This Saturday we are going to include an event called Beyond The Blue. 100% of ALL funds raised will go directly to this amazing charity who tackles anxiety and depression.
We have 3 teams competing in this event, but there is still room for anyone else to enter on the day.
Teams so far : Renae, Sean, Andrew M, Dan
Jannettte, Anita, Irene
Steven G, Jess, Matty L (including Arn and Soren)
The Plan :
Meet Renae at Park at top of Kangaroo Point Cliff Stairs @ 5:30am for a 15 ish KM run prior to the event
OR
Meet, with no coaches, at top of Kangaroo Point Cliff Stairs @ 6:00am for a shorter run prior to the event
THEN
Meet at same spot at 6:45am at the latest to enter the event. Bring cash to enter.
Cost is $60 per team, so $20 per person for a team of 3 or $15 per person for a team of 4.
The organisers are happy to put you in a team if you don't have anyone organised.
P.S. dress in blue (easy), for a chance to win a prize.

Urban Adventure Event, Uniforms, Saturday Birthday Boy
Charity Race - Race Beyond The Blue
Next Weekend 10th June
A new event where 100% of your profits go to charity!

"Saturday the 10th of June we race for "Beyond Blue" around beautiful scenic Brisbane while searching for clues and partaking fun activities along the way
Grab 3-4 friends (or we'll add you to a group), dress in blue and get excited for an adventure race like no other. 100% of ALL funds raised will go directly to this amazing charity who tackles anxiety and depression. We start and finish at Kangaroo Point Cliffs with the race commencing at 7am sharp. We anticipate the race will take approx 2 hrs with heaps of fun along the way. On return with hopefully all the right locations achieve you will have access to some Free Massage from The Movement Team, fruit supplied by Charlies Fruit Market, supplement taste testing from Nutrition Werehouse Everton Park and much more…Entry cost per team is $60 ($15 pp).
So help us achieve our goal of $2000 for Beyond Blue while you have an amazing morning. See you there."

8isham: take away breaky from Puk
8am - Breaky, Coffee, and Cake in the Park!!!
What: It is Arn's Birthday on Sunday, so we would love to celebrate and share a cake (healthy one of course!) on Saturday morning with you all. Bring a Picnic Blanket or Chair for the park.
We would love to see those of you with kiddies who don't usually come Saturdays to pop in and say hi, Arn would love some extra play mates.
I will be bringing some park games and there is a playground.
Grab some breaky and coffee from Puk then hang out in the park for a catch up chat.

Sunday - City2South
Kick off - 7:30am for 5km, 8am for 14km
Meeting Point: In front of Parliament House, Corner of Alice and George Street.
There are usually portaloos there and the event starts in George Street.
If we don't see you, keen an eye out for the Blue and White at the end.
