Twilight Event Registration
One of the big events every year for BRS is the Twilight Run at UQ. It creeps up quick, so here are details to enter.

What: 1/2 Marathon, 10km, 3km, 1km Kids Challenge
When: Sunday 18th March 2012
Time: events start at 4pm onwards
Where: University of QLD, St Lucia
Cost: Get in my 31 Dec for Super Early Bird prices......or 31st January for Early Bird!!

TEAM ENTRY: We always compete in the Team Challenge - biggest team! We won in 2010, so lets try again!!!

Christmas Closure
Last BRS training session before Christmas is Wednesday 21st December. Don't forget to wear Red and Green!!

Saturday Run 17th Dec

Unfortunately the Sherwood Run and BBQ is going to have to be changed to a new location.

Where: Toowong Bike Path, Opposite the Regatta Hotel
When: Saturday 17th Dec, 6:30am
What: Long run, followed by breakfast at the Regatta Hotel.

Sorry to all those looking forward to the Sherwood run, there just wasn't enough interest.

Xmas Party Wrap Up, Sat Session & BRS over xmas

Big Thank-you to every body who joined us for the BRS Xmas and 2nd Birthday party on Saturday night! What a night!

Saturday Session
For our second last Saturday Session of 2011: lets head to New Farm Park
Markets are on and I have my eye on a plum pudding.

When: 6:30am - 8am
Where: Meet New Farm Rotunda
What: 13-15km run or 30min out and back
Cost: $2 for refreshments

Saturday Session

This week is a long session as always, with a twist!! An urban orienteering adventure.

When: 6:30am
Where: Ship Inn, Southbank
What: Urban Orienteering - 1.5hours

Urban Orienteering overview:
teams of 2-3 depending on numbers
you are provided with a number of check-points and 1.5hours to get to as many as possible.
You get points for checkpoints and hefty penalties if you arrive back late.....so what is your strategy.

Come along for a bit of fun and of course a good run!

Saturday night - Our Xmas & Birthday party

It is TIME!! Only 2 sleeps to go!

Thanks to our 45 BRSers who are coming along, can't wait to see you there.

When: Saturday 3rd December, 2011
Time: 6pm til late
Where: The Heritage Room, The Storey Bridge Hotel

Theme: A rubik's cube party
come dressed in one of the colours on the traditional cube, WHITE, RED, BLUE, ORANGE, GREEN, or YELLOWI

If you are keen to play....team your outfit colour with cheap accessories of other colours - e.g. sweat/head bands, scarves, badges, bangles, hats
Game:
1. By the end of the night, you have to be full head to toe in 1 colour by swapping accessories with each other.
2. By the end of the night, form a team of six, 1 of each colour head to toe (remember no prior organising of teams is allowed)

Prizes (great prizes provided by our sponsors)
1. Best dressed head to toe colour
2. Best dressed Team at the end!

Don't forget we will also be announcing:

Saturday Session

For those interested in a long run this Saturday, details are below:
When: Saturday 26 Nov 6:30am
Where: meet outside Ship Inn
What: try the West End Loop (follow path to Westend, Riverside drive, up Dornoch Terrace and Glastone Road back to Southbank....or out and back)
Duration: 1-1.5 hours.

Plenty of coffee/breaky spots to choose from afterwards.
PARKING: Don't forget EARLY MORNING BREAKFAST SPECIAL ONLY $2
Monday to Sunday. Enter after 5am and exit before 9am at Southbank Carpark

Saturday Run 19 Nov 2011

Where: Suttons Beach, Redcliffe
When: Saturday 19th November
Time: 6:30am
What: Long Run followed by some water running.
What to Bring: Running gear, swimming gear, drink bottle,
Cost: $2 (to cover lollies and drink).

There are some nice cafe's up there at Redcliffe, so be ready for a lovely breakfast afterwards!

Cool Night Classic Tomorrow Night
Tomorrow night we have the PWC 5km Cool Night Classic.
Kick off is 5:15pm
Matt and I will be there by 4:45pm

We can watch bags/bikes etc for those BRSers running.
Meet us at the QUT side of the Goodwill Games Bridge.

Saturday Session

Many of you are competing in the Mt Cootha Moustash Run on Sunday including Matt & I.
Those of you not participating, why not get together for a run and market adventure!

What: why not try the Storey Bridge 13km loop backwards!!
