This sounds like a great series that I will be adding to the BRS calendar for 2015!!!

Hot of the press news is the announcement of the Run Queensland Day/Night series.  It’s free to enter and the rules are pretty straightforward:

Runners must complete each event to qualify (any distance)

Scores will be an aggregate of each runners gender position with the lowest points scored being the winner:

o   i.e. place 10th at BW@N, 20th at BW@D, 15th at WH@N and 50th at WHC will give you 95 points.
o   Finish 8th, 22nd, 16th and 48th and you finish with 94 – you win!

Male and Female winners of the series will receive a trophy with the top ten male and female participants receiving a commemorative t-shirt.

So, do you want to be a Run Queensland ‘Day-Nighter’?

The series kicks off on Saturday, January 24th on Australia Day long weekend, entries on line here:

It’s followed by BW@D, then WH@N (brought forward from August to March) and ending with WHC on Easter Sunday.

Dates for all events are:

BW@N (Beerwah at Night) – January 24th       10km, 20km, 30km and 50km

BW@D (Mt Beerwah Daybreak Run) – February 21st  10km, 20km, 30km and 50km

WH@N (Wild Horse at Night) – March 14th   10km, 16.5km and 25km

WHC (The Wild Horse Criterium) – April 5th, Easter Sunday (dogs allowed!)11km, 22km, 33km, 55km and 50 mile

More information on the website at www.runqueensland.com

Cut off times for most events are such that anyone of reasonable health and mind-set can finish and we welcome beginners and runners/walkers of all levels (exceptions would be of the 50km and 50 mile events)

Happy Running
Renae & Matt
